In a powerful display of unity, thousands took to the streets in Quetta and Karachi, launching the Baloch Yakjehti Committee's (BYC) third phase of protests. The demonstrations, marked by significant participation from women and children, spotlighted the escalating concerns over human rights violations in Balochistan.

The protesters, starting from Balochistan University in Quetta and Malir in Karachi, voiced their opposition to enforced disappearances and "state oppression." The urgency of their demands reflects the perceived gravity of the situation, with calls to end the alleged "Baloch genocide."
A poignant aspect of the protests was the attention brought to "state-sponsored death squads" in Balochistan. Demonstrators accused the state not only of failing to dismantle these squads but also of relocating their members to intimidate vulnerable groups in Islamabad, including the elderly, women, and children.
Dr. MahRang Baloch of BYC emphasized the pivotal role of Baloch women in the movement, acknowledging their suffering due to the illegal abductions of male family members. In a social media message, she extended gratitude to the international community, highlighting the global importance of defending human rights.

Despite our peaceful mass movement, false police reports persist. Recently, organizers and participants of the rally opposing the Baloch genocide in Malir, Karachi, faced targeting with fake FIRs. Authorities continue to employ consistent force and violence in an attempt to suppress our movement.
The call for international support against the "Baloch Genocide" was reinforced by Dr. Baloch, who urged people worldwide to oppose injustice, advocate for human rights, and engage with human rights organizations. This collective action, she emphasized, is crucial in holding Pakistani authorities accountable not only for the Baloch people but for the broader cause of human rights and justice worldwide.
BYC has screened a documentary titled "Voices Unheard: The Collective Diaries." The documentary highlights the daily struggles of Baloch protestors in the Islamabad camp and explores the motivations that drive them to persist in their protest.

The BYC's protest is not just a regional outcry but a global call for solidarity in the face of human rights violations. The significance of this movement transcends borders, echoing the universal struggle for justice and humanity.
